Internship requirements

What are the qualifications and minimum requirements?

We’re big on codes and communication. If you have a basic understanding of coding and great communication skills, we’d like to hear from you. We’ll figure out the rest together.

Take a look at the requirements:

  1. Minimum requirements:
    1. Candidates must be able to work full-time from office for six weeks. We do not have remote internship opportunities for now.
    2. Candidates should not be working professionally elsewhere.
    3. Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS, any programming language, coding skills, logical & problem-solving skills
  2. Recommended, but not required:
    1. Candidates are encouraged to attach their work along with their resumes if applicable
  3. Notes:
    1. Candidates must be willing to work at Leapfrog after the completion of the internship
    2. The internship will begin on April 27, 2023, coinciding with the International Day of Girls in ICT. Please note that you do not have prior commitments like exams or travel plans during the internship period.
    3. Keeping this in mind, we discourage students who are still committed to college as we expect a full-time commitment of 40 hours a week. However, final-semester students whose exams do not coincide with the internship period can apply.

When is the deadline for the applications?

We start taking applications from March 8 to March 29, 2023. Shortlisted candidates will be notified for a written test to evaluate their creative, technical, and analytical skills.

Note: Dates may be subjected to change. In such cases, applicants will be notified beforehand.

How should I apply?

Please send your application through the website by March 29, 2023. Also, feel free to attach your work or portfolio, if applicable.

What is the screening process like?

Our screening process is designed to be a fun and engaging experience. It’s a four-step process that starts with a quick online examination, followed by a video interview with some of our senior team members. This is your chance to show us what you’re made of, and tell us all about your skills and what gets you excited about work. If all goes well, the final stage is where we welcome you to the Leapfrog team!

Will I be eligible if I have previous experience in different fields (software engineering, administrative work, UI)?

Yes, we welcome everyone to apply, irrespective of whether you have prior experience or not, as long as you meet the minimum requirements. If you have experience in relevant fields, that would be a plus point for you.

Are there any course outlines that you could provide regarding what we will learn?

We provide the internship outline to selected candidates, prior to starting the internship program.

Is it a part-time or a full-time internship?

This is a full-time opportunity and we expect to have you for six weeks, Monday through Friday, from 9 am to 6 pm. We understand that this timing may not be flexible for everyone, so please ensure that you’re able to commit to the schedule before applying.

Will I be paid for this internship?

Yes, we offer a compensation package for all interns. And no, you do not need to pay any application fee or internship fee to the company.

What kind of assignments will I be working on?

You will be assigned with tasks that require writing codes, fixing bugs, creating documentation, or testing software programs. Depending on the assignments, you will get to work either independently or as part of a team to complete them.

Will I be working on assignments alone or as part of a team?

You may get to work independently on assignments or complete them as a team, depending on the tasks you are assigned to. Software development projects often involve collaboration with other developers, so you may be asked to work in teams more frequently.

What should I expect from the written examinations?

You will be assigned to take an online examination via Leapfrog exam portal. The question contains:

  • Two problem-solving questions (can be solved by using programming language JavaScript, Java, Python, C, C++)
  • Five MCQs

What should I expect from the interview?

We’re looking to know more about you. Your logical reasoning skills, your understanding of the tech industry, and your life experiences. Tell us all about it!

Also, feel free to ask your interviewer(s) questions about our work and culture, so you can hear firsthand about what it’s like to intern with us.

Will this be virtual or on-site?

We’re all about hands-on training and learned experiences. You’ll have to come to the Leapfrog office in Dillibazar for this internship.

Do I need my own laptop?

Yes, you will have to bring your own laptop.

Will I receive a training certificate?

You will receive an experience letter after the completion of this internship.

What happens after the internship?

After the internship, deserving candidates will be hired as Associate Software Engineers.
